Phoenix Member Christine Banham chaired the Metro Vancouver Public Engagement Committee for the then proposed new Lions Gate Sewage Treatment Plant. The project cost ballooned from an original $700 million in 2014 to an anticipated $3.8 billion today. Christine will provide background on why the new plant was required, the original scope of the project, and highlight some of the factors that contributed to the overrun.
